DIY homemade Pancakes!

12 February 2014

This is my DIY on how to make these yummy pancakes at home..
What you will need is:

1 cup if milk,
1 cup of self raising flour
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
2tbsp oil or melted butter
P.s If you don't use self raising flour but use a different flour, you will aslo need 2tsp of baking powder

You will need
2bowls, a wooden spoon for mixing, a pan, a whisk, a table spoon.

This will probably make 15 pancakes serving 3-4 people depending on the size of the pancakes.

Firstly you want to add the flour and the sugar in a bowl and mix them. I used a mug which included measuring units.

In a different bowl, lightly whisk an egg, then add in the melted butter and the milk, and whisk these ingredients together, don't go overboard with the mixing!

You want to then pour in the wet mixture (egg, milk and butter) in to the dry mixture (flour and sugar)
Stir the mixture until the dry mixture is all wet, when your finished you will be left with a goo-ey mixture which has lumps in it. Don't want to form a dough!

Heat a pan to low heat, and you might want to add a little bit of butter or oil and pour the mixture.

When you see the edges are beginning to get done and bubbles forming turn it over, which can get a little messy! but don't let too many bubbles form or it will have been burnt.

All your pancakes are ready to serve, you can add maple syrup, chocolate, fruits, honey whatever you fancy really !

Honestly I prefer these home made pancakes over the premade ones you get in the supermarket which to me are bland or overly sweet!

Hope you enjoy making it and the best part eating it!
