Its the end of the month which means I can show you guys what I have used this month, and from all the things I have used what I have loved using: I have tried not to include things I've mentioned in my previous monthly favourites to avoid repetition...

Lush face mask

28 January 2014

I cannot rave about Lush enough, its one of those shops where you question the price, no no not that its expensive but rather the other way its very affordable! For such good natural products, from face to body to bath products..

For this blog I want to especially talk about the face masks, i love how natural they are and you can get all different one's targetted for the problems you may have. As they are made with natural products they are to be kept in the fridge, so it can be soothing when put on the face as its cold!

And also after you have finished with the masks themselves if you collect the pots and return it i think lush give back a new face mask in exchange of 5 empties!..

I like to apply the mask weekly, after I have a bath and massage the mask all over my face and leave it on for ten minutes. I can feel my face so soft and soothing. I do notice my face unclogging of dirt and feels so smooth. This is the one i'm using at the moment, the rudolf face mask, I wanted something for blemishes that may appear, redness and dry skin. I apply all the masks the same way.. The little red thing is rudolf's nose that is made of jelly i think, they recomend to put it on the nose which first I got a bit scared of! Haha

The masks cost around £5 -£6. I have done a blog one my lush haul here.

What masks do you use from lush?, or what other products do you like from lush?

Soap and glory archery review

27 January 2014

I wanted to try something new for my eyebrows, that wasn't harsh yet gave a bold clean look. I came across this in boots, which came in two shades I brought brown

I am in love with this, and use it everyday, its so easy to work with to shape your eyebrows.. I use one end to line the edges, and one side to fill it in and this cost around a tenner. At the moment there's 3 for 2 on soap and glory makeup!

I have other products that I use for my eyebrows on this blog here

Overall I think you get two things for the price of one and that too is fairly affordable. It makes the eyebrows look really nice, neat and real..

Shopping haul drugstore and highend!

22 January 2014

As you can see I have been busy shopping but I didn't buy all this in one go.. And you might have seen me already using some of the things already in some of my other blogs..

Whats On My Face #1

best of brands: bodyshop

Some of my favourite thins from body shop that I really love :) I wanted to a blog post on different brands every few weeks or even every week and products that I love from that brand.

I know you would expect me to talk about the usual body butters lip butters that body shop are known for, however i'm not all into that. but I must say body shop do make some excellent things.

Eyeliner:
I love love love their eyeliner which has to be my most favourite thing from there and also prefer it to any other brands, I love the colour, the matt look it gives, all in all love this, I have been using this for a few years now so can safely say it is defo one of my favourites..

Vitamin C skin reviver:
last year I was interested in their vitamin c skin reviver its so refreshing to use in the summer and smells of oranges, I use it as a primer.

Vitamin C Night cream:
I really like the night ream its really nourishing, and I like using this and my origins night-a-mins and swap over from time to time, I like both of them as it feels nice for my dry skin..

All in one bb cream:
lastly one that I have recently purchased but can say i am liking it so far. the thing really interested me in this bb cream is the colour adaption, there's 4 different shades, with this you can get the wrong shade but it will still work, as the formula adapts to the skin colour. I brought shade 1 and 3, shade 0 is too light, shade 2 is pink toned, and shade 1 an 3 seemed to both work for me with a yellow undertone so I decided to use 1 in the winter while my skin is lighter, and 3 in the summer when my skin is more tanned. at the time of purchase, body shop makeup was buy 1 get 2nd half price so thought might as well.

Maybe later on, I will like more things from body shop, I will do an update on im sure ;P
what are your favourite things from body shop? what brand would you like for me to talk about next?

Matching foundations

20 January 2014

This is such a difficult thing we face, that is when you start wearing and exploring foundations, all these questions.. How do you pick the right one for you, your skin tone, colour, type..

We may find our self down the aisles of Superdrug trying out foundations on our hand under the most not natural lighting and thing oh yes I found my shade to come home and find arghhh ! What a waste of money that was..

Lazy Sunday outfit

Weekend make-up bag

18 January 2014

Friday night staying at a friends house? sleepover, whatever it may be, this is the things I think I will need when I stay over... and leave behind the ridiculous amount I usually carry when staying somewhere!

when we travel somewhere to stay over we always end up taking more then we need to, well that is always in my case. I end up over loading of things I think I might just need, 'just in case' to end up wearing a similar look on all of those days..

Starting with face, for foundation I wanted something light weight, as light as it gets (doesn't get any lighter in my opinion) than the mac face and body in C4, and I can buff it in to work as a thicker foundation on night outs... I like the Rimmel fix and perfect primer as a all over primer as it gives a matte feel and very nice texture, and use my Maybelline primer around my nose and generally where there's large pores. I love my mac mineralise skin finish as my face powder, in shade medium dark. I like to carry my sleek duo for contouring and highlighting as it means I can carry less as and also I think this product is fab! If you can spot three concealers and think i'm mad, which I probably am, but I like using them for different purposes, firstly my Bobbi Brown corrector which obviously can't live without, it covers those dark circles, i use my Maybelline fit me concealer in 25 under the eyes to brighten the under eye, and lastly my Revlon photo ready concealer on blemishes and marks..

I like to carry a light pinky peachy blush (NYX amber) which I can wear on both natural look and a more night time look with maybe a more smokier eye... talking of which, I carry my mac palette which I use one of the colours, expresso as crease colour and to fill in brows! I like to carry on nude (Rimmel scandleyes) and one black pencil (mac smoulder) and also the cat liner by soap and glory as an eyeliner, i've recently being trying out this product so far I like it.. when it comes to mascara's I can say Dior's iconic mascara gives really nice lashes, so for the weekend why not..?
Probably take a red lipstick (mac Russian red) for those party nights, one prink lip gloss (really like Rimmel Apocolips) and one matte lip gloss (NYX matte lip crème in Istanbul)

See what I brought for my spring look book yes already! I should do a little fashion show off with pictures in probably febuary or march for spring, that reminds me i still need to do my winter fashion.. Hopefully some time soon .. X

My new obsession: Rings

16 January 2014

I am obsessed with midi rings and wearing jewellery, recently I think its a new year thing i've been getting in the mood to wearing silver which normally I don't doo

I probably have the same ones in silver and gold and different size but what can a girl do ;p

I also use one of my finished candle holder pot thingys to put all my rings in as I think it looks really pretty, the candle was from Primark.. I brought all my rings from the high street shops, a mixture of Miss Selfridges, New Look, Primark, Forever 21, River Island.
Alongside the rings, i've also been in to wearing a lot of jewellery lately, and I brought these bracelets from Forever 21, my watch is of course my fav Michael Kors watch.
I think necklaces are a must from various styles, I especially love the big bold statement necklaces like so in your face!

Worth the hype? Revlon lip butters review

14 January 2014

Judging by my title yes i'm talking about the Revlon lip butters that have been raved and hyped about in the beauty world a lot!

Listening to the hype I brought a few shades thinking yhh however I didn't get on with them so I don't understand the hype, yes there very creamy etc but I find the colour range not suitable for my skin,
they're either too bright, or dead, I don't know what it is but I feel they don't make my lips look nice, I can see my lips through them not in a good way as they're a bit too transparent-ish I totally think they have been hyped up a bit too much, they have a sticky feel to it.

I didn't like the look, the feel or the colour range?

Maybe it's just I didn't get on with them or the colours I brought were the wrong ones, what do you think? Comment below..

Take the face off

13 January 2014

Long awaited :)
as you can see when I say night routine I mean taking my make up off.. and gong to sleep thing.. so after a long hard day with a full face of makeup, this is what I do..:

firstly I pump of a little of my oil cleanser, one i've been recently enjoying by Una Brennan brand rose oil cleanser, I rub my hands to warm up the oil and massage it all over my face including my eyes, this doesn't sting like some cleansers do, and I do that for a few minutes.

I then get a warm damp face towel and wipe away the oil and around my eyes and face gently. and wash the cloth and take the remains off with water. this is a pre cleanse... I forgot to add I sometimes take the eye makeup off and majority off with cleansing wipes, I love the simple ones the best, as I get irritated by others..

I then move onto my second cleanser which is Liz Earle hot cloth Cleanser honestly it does the job really good and cleanses your face of dirt. I use this with my Luna Mini :) (which is sort of a cleansing brush)

I wash this off properly and towel dry my face, I get some cotton pad mines usually from boots the big ones, and I pour some of my Clarins gentle exfoliating toner and wipe my face.

next I use my ester lauder repair night serum a little goes a long way, on my face and use my night cream by origins. on top I use my eye cream and my Dior lip balm.

if you have read my day time skincare routine what I do when I get up in the morning, you have probably realised I use some of the same products. this also depends if I have makeup on or not.. you can read that one here

Ombre hair & Care

12 January 2014

hello beautys :)

recently I've attempted to ombre my hair, I thought id do a little DIY blog on the products I used and how I used them this isn't any kind of demo. just to add these products may not work for you as they worked for me.. but all the products can be brought from the high street and I think they are pretty good products. P.s I have naturally dark brown to black hair.

I have chosen my hair to go brown on most of my head from root to a dark blond on my bottom's.

Travelling Or Holiday essentials

11 January 2014

When your staying over somewhere or go on holiday / travelling you don't want to carry a lot of things around, as half the things you'll end up not using it and also that will mean a lot of baggage.

Only essential things  ;)

For makeup I like to carry my Revlon concealer nice shade for my skin tone, mac highlight in light boost for highlighting on night outs, my body shop eyeliner (love it), a nude mac lipstick shade faux which I can wear with pretty much any look, mac mineralise skin finish, my Makeup Forever HD foundation, a nice foundation to wear for pictures and occasions, mac blusher in pinch o peach, Benefit hoola one of my favourite things to contour with, my Maybelline falsies mascara Topshop highlighter , Dior lip balm to keep my lips all nice, and Maybelline colour tattoo in on and on bronze, sometimes I may feel lazy and just put this all over my lid and also my naked palette for eye shadow. I really like the palette itself, different colours, can achieve neutral look or smokey for everyday and occasions, and less to carry with just one palette.

I carry my favourite makeup bag ted baker and a few real techniques brushes and mac. (from real techniques the buffing brush from core collection to apply blusher, face expert brush for foundation, blusher brush for powder, and the RT sponge for blending highlight. from mac brushes I have the mac 168 for contouring, mac 239 to apply shadow to the lid,  and the pencil brush 219, to apply shadow to the lower lid and smudge out liner or eye shadow. and lastly one sigma brush the E25 to blend out eye shadow on the crease (dupe for mac blending brush). And that's all the makeup :)

For skincare and body, I always carry my Luna Foreo mini which never needs charge! Body shop night cream, and the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser, toner and day cream. The ted baker hand cream, soap and glory butter yourself L'oreal Elnet mini hair spray, simple cleansing wipes to remove makeup, mini mint shower gel, mini Treseme hair and shampoo. (the things not in the picture are in the shower)

NYX Makeup Shopping Haul

10 January 2014

So finally I decided after adding things to my NYX shopping basket whether or not to purchase them now or later or which shades e.t.c  I placed my order on Thursday 9th January the day my Zoeva order was delivered, just before 11 o'clock.
I tried to see online swatches of products, as I couldn't tell what it would look like on the website. so then I may have gone a little crazy lol

This is what everything looked like when it arrived, I have laid out all the items.. I have to say I am so happy with NYX's order. they literally came the next day. so I ordered them on Thursday they came on Friday at £1.45, its so easy to track the order and they give you a one hour slot which will be the time it will be delivered. (I live in London).
Delivery is £4 something if you live in main land UK and if you spend over £40 or £50 check the website, it's free, my shopping came to a total of £60!

So first of all, I ordered three blushers, I am very happy with the shades, they are all matte finishes, I brought taupe for contouring. I have done swatches for you all to see =) the pigmentation is very nice and they are soft and not chalky. very happy with them. Cost £6 each.
I ordered the NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk and I wanted the black one for a smokey look, it feels very soft and blend able. cost me £5

I really wanted to try out NYX lip glosses and lipsticks after hearing the raves. I was intrigued by these lip glosses which have matte finishes, something which impressed me as I don't really like the really glossy shinny look. so far I like them, they are very pigmented, they smell of buttercream if you like the smell I don't mind. they cost £5.50, I might order some other shades. sleek also have some new matte lip glosses, check them out. I brought the sleek petal which is very similar to NYX Istanbul. Sleek is a bit cheaper I think.

These lipsticks, round lipsticks by NYX have such a nice formula they are soo soft and creamy. I couldn't tell by the pictures on the website what shade to get, so I had to Google them, I'm disappointed with the shade darling, it is very shimmery and shiny, don't think I will ever be using that one. but the others I really love, Paris is my most favourite, they are highly pigmented and range of colour selection costing only £4 each! I am defo going to be back on the website ordering some more..

The lip gloss mega shine shade beige is something that I have been wanting to get my hands on for ages! I also wanted to get the shade natural after seeing someone else having it, they cost £6 each o when I saw this pack for £10 I had to get it. beige is not beige in colour at all, but a bright pink, I do like it but I think I like natural the best. I think I will only use sugar pie on top of lipstick to make my lips look fuller.. not really my kind of shade. but worth the price so oh well. They smell of bubble gum which is so nice, and on the lids of the lip gloss there are pretty bows. (adorable)
Lastly I didn't order this nail polishes, I was given them by NYX, for every £10 you spend they give you a free nail polish but only minimum is 4. I know I will really like the first three shades.. I don't really wear bright yellow/green shades.

There's a UK online websites you can order from:

I have brought all these products with my own money, except the nail polishes which was a promotion and still valid, check the website. (www.nyxcosmeticsstore.co.uk)

My mac lipstick collection

So here it is finally I've had the chance and i'm quite happy with my lipsticks now I thought I would show you the colours I have and swatches, although I do like and use some more then others. Each lipstick cost £15 can be purchased online or from a mac store. www.mac.co.uk

MAC do various formulas and finishes, I have a mixture of amplified, satin, matte and cremesheen. to be honest I don't like the cremesheen's as they're colour pay off isn't good, therefore I hardly wear my cream in you coffee lipstick. my favourite finishes have to be amplified having said that they are tooo pigmented! I love the feel if you know what I mean, it's very soft and creamy. I think I only have one amplified from the collection and that's my nude lipstick half n half.
I like the matte's and satin finishes, I like to wear my Dior crème de rose lip balm underneath, for that extra softness. satin finishes are in between matte and cremesheen I think. and you all know what a matte finish is!

I have 1 red Mac lipstick which I was the recent one I purchased, I wanted this from a very long time but couldn't agree whether to buy it or not, however I am very happy I did, the colour is beautiful, i'm sure you have heard of Russian red. mac ruby woo another very raved about lipstick which is another beautiful one but it didn't suit my complexion as it has a blue undertone, this one is more of a orange undertone but the lipstick is that classic red lipstick but better!

the nude lipstick's from my collection in my opinion for me are mac faux (a pink nude), mac velvet teddy (a peach nude), mac half n half (a peach nude), these are my most used lipsticks as well as mac pink plaid (a nice pink with slight blue undertone), mac mehr and mac twig (which are very similar in colour just a slight difference, I tend to wear mac mehr more) and lastly I do really like my mac Russian red.

Overall I really like Mac lipsticks, I don't find them drying like some lipsticks.
I'm NC40 or C4 in Mac, 123 in MUFE HD foundation, 220 Maybelline fit me, 303 rimmel match perfection.

Comment Below on the shades you have :)

Mini Zoeva Haul

09 January 2014

My order has arrived!

I really wanted the Zoeva brushes after hearing great reviews about them, and also because I wanted a concealer brush similar to the real techniques deluxe crease brush as I liked the thickness and the way it applies concealer and blends, however I didn't want to spend 20 pound and get the whole eye brush set as you cannot buy it on its own.

I came across the Zoeva concealer buffer brush 142 which looked very similar so I decided to purchase this price at £7.50 I also heard a lot of people using the silk finish 102 brush for foundation it cost £10.50

Lastly i ordered the nude palette which consists of shimmers and mattes and i really like nude colours. I didnt want to buy mac single eyeshadows which are very expensive one costing around 10 to 12 pounds where as the zoeva nude palette cost £18.95, for 28 colours! I saw lily pebbles youtuber do a blog on this and she really liked it.. as you can see from the picture, there are dark shades and lights, and a few peachy, pinks, purple shades.

Zoeva is based in germany and shipping cost around £7 so to make it worthwile buy more than one thing if you do!

I placed my order 30th December 2013, my order was processed one 3rd January and shipped out on 6th January, it arrived in London on the 8th in the night and I received it in the morning on the 9th. I think that's pretty fast and I was tracking my order the whole time.

The order came in a brown box, inside thick bubble wrap and then neatly black tissue paper with the Zoeva stamp (I already opened it hence the scruffiness :P)

The brushes were inside black cases and the palette inside card packaging.
The brushes itself are very soft and the eye shadows look good so ill have to try them and let you know.

make-up no makeup look

08 January 2014

I've been feeling ill lately and I didn't feel to wear makeup, but you know when you have that ill looking face and you need to feel and look better this is what I did and I thought I would share it... you an do this look even if your not ill, or its that monthly time again or if you wear less makeup anyway..

so get yourself out of bed if you ain't already and do a little dance, just joking, first thing to do is use a gentle cooling cleanser and wash your face.

Skin Care
Dry your face and I look to use my Clarins gentle exfoliating toner, it exfoliates and closes your pores.

You may be lacking hydration so I like to use the moisture booster to pack on hydration.

Next use a good moisturiser on your face, when that isn't too thick yet it is nourishing to the skin,

Preferably with a SPF in it. I use the origins Ginzing moisturiser. as well as that use a good eye cream under the eyes..

Lips may be cracked so use a good lip balm, I love the Dior crème de rose one as it smells and feels nice, its soft and light weight.

So we've done the skincare on to the makeup, already prepped the skin,

Makeup
So grab a bb cream, as it will provide a nice tint to the skin without the coverage of a foundation. it should blend the skin nicely. (I have recently brought the body shop all in one bb cream and so far liking it)

Dark circles need to be covered and nothing better than the Bobbi Brown corrector to do this in my opinion. gently apply with your ring finger as this will be the least pressure. review

There may be still marks and blemishes the bb cream has failed to cover, just use your favourite concealer and blend it out. i'm trying out the Revlon concealer as I cant find shade 4 of the collection perfection concealer.

This is no makeup so no eyeliner, just curl your eyelashes and apply your favourite mascara to add volume to your lashes. (Maybelline falsies is my favourite everyday mascara)

You want to add just a bit of colour to your cheeks so use a nice pink shade, I like my mac desert rose as a subtle colour.

And lastly you want to apply a nice nude lip, one that I really like is the Revlon mauve it over matte lipstick, its a nice peachy tone.
