November Favourites :)

30 November 2013

It's already time for my November favourites... wow month goes so quickly..

You probably have spotted my rimmel foundation which I have been going on and on about :) I wear the shade 303 true nude, I have already said its so hydrating and I love wearing it during these months.. this has spf 18 which is not only handy in summer but also winter to protect your skin from humidity etc. it gives flawless skin, with a dewy finish, great for dry or normal skin. medium coverage, it does a very long time. overall its become one of my favourite, and glad this has my shade as most high street foundations only come in the lighter shades, very frustrating!

Next my beloved urban decay naked palette.. I have already done a blog post on it if you wanted to see that click here. I've recently been using it alot alot alot.. and I know there was a release of a new naked 3 palette.. the colours look really nice..

Back to my naked palette that I do have.. I love the colour buck as its a very nice blending colour, I have been using a lot of bronzy shades, smog is one of my shimmery colours that I love. recently during this season I have been using dark horse a lot, in my crease and outer corner to add definition and lower lash line...

I have also been loving using the Maybelline colour tattoos as a swish of colour on my lids, especially the colour on and on bronze.. I  have already written a blog so if you want to check that out click here

I know I said I really like my Loreal voluminous mascaras, but hey you can't love just one mascara, I found this mascara in the back of my draw, and when I tried it I thought it was brilliant, it volumises, lengthens, I love Maybelline mascaras, I use to have a lot of them.. and i've literally stopped using my Loreal one and instead used this like the whole November..
As you guys know I've been into berry colours and as I've already included the burgundy lip favourite in my last favourite I didn't want to repetitive, so I thought I would add in my favourite lip along aide, I really love this nude shade for me, its my most lived probably lipstick from mac, its mac faux, and for me its a lovely pink nude. I would defo repurchase again! Sometimes I wanted a nude lip as I went bolder wither eyes and cheeks I wanted to tone down on the lips..

You can probably spot Dior crème De Rose lip balm from my recent haul post, but I have fallen in love with this in a few days so I thought it would be unfair if I didn't include his in my November favourites :( I know I will be in love this product for a long long time... It beats the elizabeth arden 8hour cream which I said I really liked however it has unfortunately kind of not lived up to the little hype.. I will do a separate blog on that.. So the Dior lip balm cost 20pound, with 10 or 20% percent off during the offers.. It is so soft does everything it says, jus a teeny weeny gloss but that doesn't stay ling, and little hint of rosey smell, with no colour. Which is everything I love about it

This is a swatch of the mac faux lipstick on my hand...

I was so excited when I found this in boots again, I used to years a few years ago but I never found this until recently. I love this stiff well done ted baker! Its smells so nice and so soft.

Random Shopping haul

25 November 2013

So I went shopping with my dear friend to Westfield... A mixture of clothes, beauty, skincare and perfume...

I went to H&M, Primark, MAC, Boots and lastly Perfume shop..

Starting with clothes, from Primark for £6.00 I brought these leggings/ tights, its very thick and ideal for winter, it has this warm fleesy fur inside, you can buy with or without the socks bit..  I also brought a snood or however you spell it, from H&M for tenner, its a pretty beige gold colour with pretty sequences..
Ooh and now onto beauty, sadly for some you people this may come as a disappointment that I only brought one beauty product :( but lets look on the bright side its from mac, I have a few blushers from mac and I've had my eye on this pink blush, however every time I ask its always been out of stock, so I was happy they had it for 18.00, don't know if its only me but do the prices keep increasing ??? :S... This blusher called pinch of peach funnily is a pretty pink shade not peach.. Confused lol

Oohh my trip to boots as always means one thing.. Have to come back with something, so I've been dying to try the Dior lip balm in rose, it cost 20pounds, it smooths, softens, moisturises, plumps and is really good so I heard had to try...

I really wanted an oil cleanser and wasn't sure if the mac one would break me out.. So brought the Una Brennan which smells lovely and soft... And I also brought the clay mask.. ill review these later on after good uses... Brought for around 6pounds

Lastly trip to perfume shop, there's a sale and my friend wanted to buy the Britney Spears fantasy not my type so thought I would get Britney Spears curious 22 pound..

Hope you enjoyed this, look out for my skincare routine and reviews in these products...

Origins day and night cream

Guess what I brought... on my trip to westfield shopping centre...

After hearing lots of great reviews and wanting to try it out for myself, I took a little trip to boots as I was after the origins night a mins, which cost 34pounds for 50ml of product...

I know origins does some pretty awesome products and I already have their hydration mask and charcoal mask..

After I brought the origins night cream night a mins in boots, I took a trip to john lewis and I see this gift set... Can you imagine myself when I saw the price..

Inside you get the 50ml night a mins, 30ml GinZing day cream, the hydration mas which costs 10pound and the origins GinZing eyecream... For only 40pound! I was annoyed that there was no mua in boots at the origins stand to help me so I went back to boots and returned the origins and brought this set from John Lewis! ONLY 40pound and you get the whole set! so an extra 6pound and I get the rest to what I originally paid for just the night-a-mins !!

I was so happy and OMG after trying out the products I love it! The eye cream really refreshes and hydrates your ryes instantly waking you. The night cream is very nourishing and soft and repairs your skin. I haven't had a chance to use the day cream, and I already love the hydration mask... So this was defo worth it... And they do this in boots as well as I discovered after all my running around in Westfield shopping centre! so make sure look around for good offers and gift sets.. you can get more for your moneys worth at this time of year !!

Glossy lips by Apocalips

24 November 2013

I hardly use lip gloss, but as its starting to hit December and winter this is the month where you can wear shimmer and gloss the most, so thought I might write about the lip gloss I like the most.

I forget some of the products when I buy them as sometimes I go a little crazy when I go shopping.. so when I was going through my draw I found this...

I thought I would try it on as I hardly wear lip gloss.. but OMG I really like it.. its the

Apocalips by Rimmel, I have the pinky shade. this lip gloss isn't shimmery, but gives a glow to the lips and also pigmented which is why I like it. its not overly sticky as lip glosses sometimes are..

You can purchase from boots, superdrugs and many other stores, comes in a range of shades, from peaches, pinks, nudes and reds.

Maybelline colour tatoos review

20 November 2013

I have heard a lot of raving about the Maybelline colour tattoos,  I see total reason and complete Justification behind the raves because you know why, these are absolutely brilliant and have slowly become my favourite. This would probably be the products that 'I cannot live without' (of course you can live without makeup) but you beauty lovers would know what I'm talking about!

I have purchased four of them, the permanent taupe, metallic pomegranate, pink gold and lastly on and on bronze.

First of all, they are very inexpensive well in my opinion for the quality of the product. It's so quick and easy to apply, forget using a brush I use my fingers to apply this on my eyelid. It can be used as a base for an eye shadow, or on it's own. what I tend to do is apply it then use a darker shade to contour in my crease and outer corners. I don't if this has magic (obviously not duh) but when I wear it, there seems to be automatically dimension to my lid, like there's lighter area in the tear duct area then it gets darker, and in the outer V it's the darkest! how cool is that? like seriously guys!

here's my look with the Maybelline colour tattoo 'on and on bronze' a neutral colour that suits all complexions and my favourite shade of all time not just from the colour tattoo's but (if your read my blogs hope you do you will know) is a product and shade that I Love Love Love and probably will creep up if it hasn't already in majority of my posts !!  Can you guys see what I was rambling on about earlier, the 'magic bit' (told you not all that crazy) haha

And this look is created using the pomegranate colour tattoo. I have used a darker shade of eye shadow as contour in the eye socket. Another pretty shade. I often use pink gold during the spring and summer. recently i've been using on and on bronze and pomegranate during the fall and winter... taupe is a nice matte colour to use as a base as the others are shimmers..

I highly highly recommend these colour tattoos, I think it looks really flattering and suits anyone and also it's not hard to apply. Well done Maybelline!

Autumn and Winter essentials

17 November 2013

As the colder months approaches, its important to take care of our skin and body and protect it as well as styling in the right way..
My skin is dry anyways so when it gets cold it becomes more dry and dehydrated...
I wanted to do a mixture of skincare, Betsy and fashion ;)

So starting off with makeup, as you guys know I love berries and reddish colours..

I also prefer to wear pinks and plum shades during these months, below sleek pomegranate, mac breath of plum, max factor soft murad (cream), and lastly mua blush yummy.

although I still love my neutrals, I do love adding glitter as this is the only time we can! I love the Maybelline colour tattoos in pomegranate and on and on bronze as well as my mac quad palette which I have a blog post on click here to read that.

I have recently been loving this foundation, I like the dewy finish it gives and its light to medium coverage, and it so hydrating which is why I love wearing this stuff !

now skincare, it is solo important to take care of you skin through out the year. I love to over moisturizer my skin and also use hydrating products. I love the origins hydration mask as an overnight mask twice a week, and every morning I love using the moisture booster serum. I also love to put hand cream on so recently I have finally found one of my old time fav hand cream by Ted baker! It smells so rosey and nice..
mm not to forget them lips, lips can become so dry and chapped and look and feel horrible. These are some of my fav, I like using burst bees lip balm hydrating, carmex cherry, Elizabeth Arden as overnight, and lastly Maybelline baby lips.

I love lighting candles, and also lights.. I have them on my window looks zoo pretty...

Moving onto fashion.. now I love to wear sweaters and knitwear, feels so cosy... the first two are from primark and the last one is from Jane Norman..

And lastly although I don't always wear nail polish, I like to wear glittery nails in this time...

My urban decay naked palette

14 November 2013

My first high end eye shadow palette ever purchased!
OMG I'm such a neutrals fan as u might have already seen from my mac quad palette, but I do like neutral with a bit Smokey.

I brought mine from Debenhams urban decay makeup stand. It came with a eye shadow brush and the famous urban decay primer potion in mini. These are shadows are soft and highly pigmented they're really easy to blend and apply and this palette has some beautiful colours.

Eyeshade starting from left to right- virgin, sin, naked, sidecar, buck, half baked, smog, dark horse, toasted, hustle, creep, gunmetal.

I usually use the shades virgin and sin in the inner corners of my eyes and under the brow as a highlight colour. I use buck and naked as transmission colours and on the crease's use farmhouse, creep, gunmetal in the outer corner to add definition, and the rest as colours on the lid.

the most popular look I do using this palette is using virgin in the inner corner and brow highlight, naked as the transition colour then half baked all over the lid. Then using smog to blend it out into crease. Lastly using dark horse on the outer corner and blending it.

I use the mac 239 to apply colour to the lid, I also use the mac 217 to blend a darker colour and transition colour to the crease. I also like applying a darker shade on the bottom eyeliner (have no idea what its called but you gas know what I'm talking about) I use a mac pencil brush the 219

I used these brushes for my eyes :)

The naked palette retails at 36pounds. And there is another naked palette 2 but I prefer this one. They are both the same price. Can buy from Debenhams, house of Frazer and John Lewis.

the urban decay eye shadows can be seen as dupes of some of the Mac eye shadows which the refill costs 10pounds each!

another palette that can be brought from superdrugs is the MUA  palette which is a close dupe to the naked palette... MUA 12 shade undressed palette costs £4.00 !!!
