February Favourites

28 February 2014

Its the end of February, and spring is approaching us :) quite delighted to be honest, hopefully it will get more sunny in the UK, but end of one month does mean I have used lots of products in February, some which happen to be my life saver. I didn't want to talk about products which I have previously mentioned in my other favourites posts because it'll just be boring and I know you all want to see new stuff, but if you are wondering, you can check them out, just write it in the search bar.

Smashbox Full exposure palette

26 February 2014

I fell in love with this palette as soon as I set my eyes on it on the shelf in Boots. All the matte and shimmery neutral colours were just calling to me, and I could not leave it without taking it home with me. Obviously. It cost me £36 which is an average for a high-end palette (or even on cheaper side of the spectrum if truth be told). I swatched a little at the store and when I felt the brush I new immediately this was a winner.

Shopping haul

21 February 2014

Yes I have been found guilty of shopping... Again! But I tried not to go crazy and buy things that I actually need, well most things I need lol :) (yes telling myself that) I have a mixture of products in this haul. these are all the items I brought from popping into Boots, Superdrugs, Clintons, Select, The BodyShop and Lush. So if your interested to know further details, carry on reading beautiful people. P.S any questions or suggestions for review you know what to do.. Comment :) ..

Beauty blender Vs Real Techniques complexion sponge

18 February 2014

So we have seen many dupes for this little pink sponge, but none have met it's match let alone beat it!
This little glorious pink sponge is not just pretty in colour, it makes your foundation blend so nicely and your face flawless, some swear by this product as their holy grail. But is it worth it's expensive price tag or can we find something as good but for much cheaper? I get questions on the comparison so here's review on each P.s this retails for about 16 to 20 pounds on it's own.

Pamper evening!

16 February 2014

Girly night in and things to do? Well why not give yourself a pamper evening!? I personally love pamper evenings, a chance to try new products as well as luxurious things and feel special haha! I usually do these when i'm bored, or feeling like a nice relaxing bath usually twice a month or more. I usually like taking baths and showers in the evening before bed time, as it helps me relax, hence the title pamper "evening" but you may have these any time of the day!

Starting with hair... I wash my hair with shampoo and follow up with a leave in conditioner. I have this shower cap so my hair doesn't get wet while i'm soaked in the bath.

Now on to the bath itself, I fill it up, and use bath bombs from lush which smell so nice, look pretty amazing and also make my body feel really nice. Let's not forget about the candles shall we... important step in relaxing. I love Yankees candles and few ones from Primark that I use just for the pretty lighting they give.

Make sure to get a nice cold glass of water, as you may get dehydrated from the heat and steam. I forgot to take a picture of mine so I had to secretly get it from google! lol

While my bath is running I love to remove any makeup I may have, first starting with simple wipes, then using my Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser along with my Foreo Luna mini to massage my face.

yes I mentioned bath bombs from lush, and here are many pictures taken to show you this bath bomb called dragons egg.

now while i'm soaking in the bath I scrub myself using the soap and glory sugar crush body scrub, really is exfoliating.
after I have been in the bath chilling for a while, I let all the water go and wash myself including my hair, and on my body I use the shower oil by Loccitaine. this shower oil is really good if you also shave your legs as it leaves it very soft.
dried myself with a towel, and my hair wrapped up in turby towel I first scrub my lips then apply a face mask and leave this on for about ten minutes while I apply some body butter by soap and glory all over my body.
after washing my face, I use my Clarins exfoliating toner on some cotton pads, and wipe my face, and finish my using my ester lauder advanced night serum and then my origins hydration mask and leave this on. don't forget you need to put some lip balm on! of course my Dior crème de rose! and some eye cream.

Moving on to hair, I sprayed some of this Brazilian keratin therapy on my hair especially the ends, and brushed it out using my tangle teaser and blow dried my hair.

no pamper evening is complete without your nails, and I already had some nail polish on so first I removed this using my bourjois dissolvent miraculeux literally takes a second, wash my hands as it smells of nail polish remover then applied this burgundy nail polish and put some hand cream on!

Hope you enjoyed all the pictures, and enjoying having your own pamper evening :)
don't forget to comment, what are your favourite products you like using and follow

Maybelline falsies- the options?

13 February 2014

My favourite drugstore mascara of all time has to be Maybelline's falsies. I love the effect it leaves my lashes, and I also know it's famous youtuber's Tanya Burr's favourite mascara. With that being said I was confused which falsie is the ultimate best ? The black drama or flared, because I have both of them (that's what you do) and when my friends ask what's the difference I couldn't define it, so today I set out to actually see the difference...
