Brush Cleansers The options!

09 August 2014

For all you beauties I have done a very useful post which I have been meaning to do for a while.. We all buy brushes, some perhaps more than others (unnecessarily like me =O) We often use them a lot, apply makeup but when it comes to cleaning we often neglect them, or this routine becomes so long! Which obviously can't be good as there will be a build up of bacteria. and so on...

However this is a post on what to use for cleaning your brushes, I have already mentioned in my other posts that I use shampoo and conditioner, some people use fancy brush cleansers, I also have the mac cleanser for a quick everyday cleanse. My step by step process on how to clean brushes will be linked here :)

Buying a separate brush cleanser may not be up everyone's street, and using shampoo followed by conditioner may be a long process as well, and often your brushes will smell like your hair (if you like that then it's ok, I find it weird if I'm honest, because when I change up shampoo's some of them smell stronger than others, it's cool on the hair people not on my face!)

I have been trying just normal anti bacterial hand wash here and there without intention and realised, hang on a second, (fancy revelation music here**) TADA! This actually cleans my brushes really well, gets rid of all the nasty gunk and bacteria as well as making them very soft! This is also waaay quicker and cheaper! I still use the same process in cleaning them. And by the way you don't need no  fancy ones posh nosh hand washes just what you use to clean your hands with! Any brand any make. The one below is the one I am currently using.

Hope you liked this post! Will be trying to update more often now :) any suggestions or questions, comment below or even on my Instagram @yasmiinella

Essentials in my wardrobe, And Yours!

07 August 2014

There are particular items which I think every girl needs in her wardrobe!

Every girl needs a mac lipstick, like seriously I don't think I have found any other that could beat then whether highend or drustore, the formulas the shades you name it, especially the nudes LOVE it!! And they have a selection for everyone.

My Holy grail foundation is none other than true match foundation by Loreal. Have no idea why I hadn't discovered this any sooner, cheap and cheerful and is as good as any highend!

All the clothing item speaks for itself haha

This is a quick post for you all, as I am very busy, I will be however doing a full post probably friday or the weekend any suggestions comment below - Yasmin xx

Neon for summer

06 August 2014

A quick post-
I love neon colours dressed with monochrome especially yellow :) I chose rose gold / peach jewellery/ as I think it looks super cute with the yellow. If you wear a hijab I would suggest either wearing a black or nude colour hijab and probably a kimono on top preferbly black!

I will do more outfit ideas and hopefully update my blog on a regular basis, if you like comment below

Love you- Yasmin

My drugstore SPF?

05 August 2014

As we are in the middle of the summer, I tend to forget the most basic and important step in my day to day routine, of course SPF! and I mean a high SPF like say 50+ It's very important to protect your skin against the weather including sun protection humidity etc. I think I have found my drugstore dupe for the Kiehls.. Yay me!!

KIEL'S Ultra Light Daily UV Defence
I haven't heard a lot of good drugstore SPF's and I know most high-end ones are very good but they do come along with an expensive price tag. For example the Kiehl's Ultra light daily UV defence, which is one that I have been long thinking about purchasing as it is one of the most raved about on Youtube and the blog world but the price tag of £31 always put me off. I was just about to buy it as  gave up on finding something as good but cheaper but than once again thought and decided to take home a sample instead.

I did really like it as it's like a moisturiser and primer in one however before I go back to Kiehl's I decided doing further research in case I do come across a cheaper alternative! Proud to say I have!!

SOAP & GLORY Make Yourself Youthful Sunshield SuperFluid
None other than soap and glory, which is one of my favourite brands of the high street. Soap and glory sun shield contains the same SPF 50+ as the Kiehl's and also protection against UVA rays and UVB rays. Already liking this product. S&G has Vitamin C and E which is really good for the skin as we all know and also Liposhield HEV melanin which protects against aging skin and pigmentation- all good stuff.

The Difference-
Its a thin liquid that quickly melts into your skin, which I will say is a tad more lighter in consistency than the Kiehls. Kiehls I will say is fragrance free but this does have a hint of gentle fragrance which isn't too noticeable but I guess soap and glory isn't soap and glory without their signature smells! haha! This product also combats oily skin as it's slightly matte-fying which is all good for the summer whether because although I have dry skin, a day out in London in this weather does tend to make my face a bit glowy- not in a good way!

Oh the last thing which I have to highlight, soap and glory's sun shield was a fraction of the price costing £15, that's an amazing deal of saving £16! but still having the benefits. and I haven't even included all the amazing 3 for 2 offers and promotion deals you can get on soap and glory in Boots :) And guys how cute it the packaging! It is so compact, like the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation bottle! Love it!

I usually apply my moisturiser, then apply a little of this on my face, al though it looks yellowish, I promise you it is clear on the face.. I then carry on with my makeup routine.

Is the any particular posts you beauties would like to read about, leave it in the comments..
 Love You X

July monthly favourites!

02 August 2014

Hello beauties!

I have been super busy with ramadan, Eid celebrations and all my courswork! So I apologise, but I am here with my monthly favourites, can't believe how these go past very quickly!

This month I haven't got so many makeup favourites funnily enough! Only because I have been trying to use up all my old, and untouched makeup and also wearing less makeup!

This isn't exactly an untouchable makeup product, but i'm always using my mac blushers and not so much of my gazzilion other blushers so I'm trying to use them too. Natural collection blushers are  pigmented and super pretty and only cost around 2 pound! I'm sure if you read my blog you will already know!

Summer's here so time to bronze up, I love borujois products and this bronzer is really nice, been using it everyday. I've recently brought their bronzing primer which I have been loving so far, probably do a review on it soon :) again I haven't got anything new to say about this that I havn't mentioned before!

Ardell lashes are very much raved about, I brought these ones for Eid, demi wispies, I love how it looks when it is worn, it flares out! And I brought them from a hair shop.

One clothing product, this kimono from h&m, it's black, can also buy in white. The cut out floral print allows clothing worn underneath to show up. I don't like the kimono's with strings attached personally so this looked perfect. I've worn this with trousers, skinnies, fitted skirts... literally! I've worn this on top of any outfits. This cost around £20.

Sometimes I felt my skin needed a pick me up, bieng tired dehydrated and grtting one or two spots. This is a very good mask! It instantly clears your skin and makes it bright! I've worn this every week and especially night before Eid!

Lastly this eye mask from bodyshop! I've been trying this out, from bieng awake till 3 due to fasting, and coming from outside in the hot day, not eating or drinking i've tried relaxing wearing this eye mask. I usually came home put this in the fridge took a shower then placed this on. Feels so nice and cooling!

What have you been enjoying this month? X
